Today , a user was banned for having a [dot] DEF file in their DFBHD folder.
As with all bans , a staff discussion has taken place and the following has been agreed :-
The ban was applied for a valid cheat reason.
We have decided to be lenient with this first ban and it has been removed.
BUT ......
As of now , any user found with any [dot] DEF file(s) in their DFBHD folder will be instantly banned.
It is the users responsibilty to make sure that no [dot] DEF files are found in their DFBHD folder.
Staff will not accept any request for a ban removal in these circumstances in future.

Basically , any file found in your DFBHD folder with " .def " at the end. You will be banned if any of these are found with Evosoft running on your PC. There are no excuses.

DEF files can be altered to give players a very unfair advantage.
Unlimited ammo , etc.

Unlimited ammo will only work in Single Player if I'm right never seen it in Multiplayer only via a glitch trough EMP with some weapons. If I'm right it's like Cheat Engine/T-Search and that kind of programs, you can edit the value in your screen it shows unlimited but after the clip is empty (Not for you since it's visual?) you'll keep shooting but wont do any damage/hits nor killing cause you've got nothing to shoot.

Regardless of what bear says , alterations to def files are not the original game.
Therefore if we find any DEF files in your BHD folder , you will be banned.
Discussion as to why they where there will come later.

Not that we might make up some old stories here, but wonder me just a little about this in the end user license, it says "The software will never scan through every file/directory on the hard drive"
I don’t know anything about .def files and how they work, but how can EvoSoft ACP locate them once EvoSoft not scan any folders or files on the hard drive.
Will just say I think its fine to Evo also grab those files if those can be used to cheat with.
Maybe an error in the EULA, but I do not know, or maybe I read the EULA wrong, then it's my fault and I say sorry in advance.

The correct interpretation from that would be that EvoSoft does not scan every exact folder and file on the harddrive, except those deemed necessary (game folder for instance).

DEF files are found nowhere but in the DFBHD folder.
Even then , if they are original , they are part of another file and not visible.
If they are altered , well that is a different case that I will not divulge the details here.
As for the EULA , it is correct in what it says.
And please remember , if you use Evosoft Software , you agree fully to the terms of the EULA.
I really do not understand why people do not read EULA's.
Every peice of publicated software has one and very few people read them until they have an issue.
If people read these as they should , before using the software then maybe they would not get themselves into a mess.

That's true but unlimited Ammo wouldn't hurt anyone, just the person itself who did the .Def cause he will recieve a ban at EvoSoft.

Unlimited ammo was just an example! If any DEF file is found in your DFBHD folder then you risk getting banned!
